Firebird Armenian AI Factory (DC-1)

Also known as DC-1 Hrazdan; Firebird AI Factory

Operated by Firebird at Firebird DC-1 (Hrazdan) .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Armenia's first large-scale sovereign AI cluster and, per Firebird, the CIS region's largest AI data center at launch. The $500 million first phase was announced at Viva Technology on 17 June 2025 by the Government of Armenia, NVIDIA, Firebird, Team Group and Team Telecom Armenia; DC-1 opened in Hrazdan on 8 August 2026 in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and NVIDIA VP Rev Lebaredian. Firebird's own announcement and the independent outlet Unite.AI both report 6,144 NVIDIA B200 GPUs on Dell PowerEdge servers drawing 15 megawatts, with NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and Schneider Electric/Vertiv power and cooling infrastructure; a February 2026 Phase Two announcement (with US government export-licence approval) scales the project toward 41,000 additional NVIDIA GB300 GPUs and a stated $4 billion total investment, with a roadmap to over 70,000 Blackwell/Vera Rubin GPUs and 300 MW by end of 2027. Some coverage (techi.com) flags an unreconciled discrepancy between the 15 MW marketed DC-1 figure and an 18 MW figure in an Armenian government brief, and notes that opening-day announcements did not disclose exactly how much of the cluster was energized or available to customers on day one; this row records the marketed DC-1 figures. No confirmed TOP500 submission was found, so ranked is 0 and no FLOPS figure is recorded.
