NVIDIA Spectrum-4

51.2 Tb/s Ethernet switch positioned for Spectrum-X AI fabrics.

Why this part

NVIDIA competing with itself, deliberately. Spectrum-X is an Ethernet fabric sold to customers who will not buy InfiniBand, with congestion control and adaptive routing added to close the gap. Owning both sides of the InfiniBand-versus-Ethernet question means the outcome of that argument costs NVIDIA very little either way, which is a stronger position than winning it.

“Units recorded” sums only the edges where a public source states a quantity. It is a floor, not a total, and should never be read as installed base.
