Mistral Campus AI (Bruyeres-le-Chatel)

Operated by Mistral AI at Mistral Bruyeres-le-Chatel Data Center .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Mistral's first Campus AI data center, a 44-megawatt facility in Bruyeres-le-Chatel south of Paris, the first node in a stated roadmap to 200 megawatts across Europe by 2027 and, longer term, a planned 1.4-gigawatt campus built with Bpifrance, MGX and NVIDIA. NVIDIA's own blog (17 June 2026) says the first deployment is already operational with 18,000 NVIDIA GB200 systems; An earlier Mistral Compute product page described GB200 racks landing in July 2025 and GB300 arriving in December 2025 at the same site, but that page is no longer online and its corroboration is dropped, so the row rests on NVIDIA's post alone. A separate financing story from March 2026 (CNBC, Data Center Dynamics and other outlets, all tracing to the same $830 million debt-financing announcement) describes the same 44MW site as housing 13,800 NVIDIA GB300 GPUs rather than 18,000 GB200s; the two figures disagree on both GPU generation and count for what appears to be the same facility, so only NVIDIA's more recent operational figure is recorded here and the conflict is logged as an open question. No FLOPS or HPL figure is published, and no site operator besides Mistral itself was independently confirmed, so no integrator edge is recorded.

Source check

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
