China Mobile Harbin Computing Center

Also known as China Mobile Harbin intelligent computing center

Operated by China Mobile at China Mobile Harbin Data Center .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

China Mobile's intelligent computing center in Harbin, Heilongjiang, run by China Mobile Heilongjiang and launched at the end of August 2024 (China Daily gives 30 August; Bastille Post's report is dated 1 September). Both reports state a deployment of 18,000 AI accelerator cards integrated into a single cluster and billed as China's largest single-cluster intelligent computing center. The two reports quote different computing power figures (6.6 and 6.9 EFLOPS, low-precision AI rates), so no FLOPS are recorded. Chip vendor, node count and power are not stated in the pages we fetched.
