Mistral Borlange AI Data Centre

Also known as EcoDataCenter 2 Borlange; Mistral Sweden

Operated by Mistral AI at EcoDataCenter Borlange Campus .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Mistral AI's first infrastructure outside France: on 11 February 2026 Mistral and EcoDataCenter announced a EUR 1.2 billion investment in an AI data centre at EcoDataCenter's Borlange campus, to open in 2027 and host NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs. EcoDataCenter, which designs, builds and operates the facility, states 250 MW at launch with potential to scale to 600 MW at the site of a former paper mill in Kvarnsveden, where construction began on 24 September 2025. The French outlet Next reports that Mistral will take about one tenth of the campus, adding about 23 MW to its capacity; that is a press interview figure and is not entered as a capacity claim, so the campus megawatts are not all Mistral's. No GPU count is stated. The tier is reported.

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
