Also known as ERDC DSRC Barfoot
Operated by ERDC DSRC at ERDC DSRC (Vicksburg) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.
What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
An HPE Cray EX4000 at the Army Engineer Research and Development Center DoD Supercomputing Resource Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the smaller sibling of Carpenter already in this dataset. The DoD HPCMP pages list 1,092 standard AMD EPYC 9654 Genoa nodes, 4 large-memory nodes and 12 visualization nodes with one NVIDIA L40S each, 212,736 compute cores, 382 TB of usable memory and a rated peak of 8.2 PFlop/s, running SLES 15 under PBS with a stated end of life of August 2032. The ERDC center page repeats the same figures. A systems-news notice dated October 2026 shows it in service and scheduled for a file-system outage on 19 to 23 October 2026. No TOP500 entry found. Tier reported: single source family; the install date is not stated on the pages used.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
None of the cited sources could be read from our network: the hosts returned bot challenges or did not respond. This check says nothing about the citations either way. See how this check works.
