SUSE Linux Enterprise Server

Base of the Cray OS stack and common across European HPC.

Why this part

SUSE's enterprise distribution and the base underneath the Cray Linux Environment and HPE Cray OS stacks, so it is present on far more of the largest machines than its direct listing here suggests: SuperMUC-NG and MareNostrum 4 run it as the primary node OS, while most Cray-family systems run it indirectly as the foundation of Cray's own layer. European HPC in particular has leaned toward SUSE over Red Hat, without a technical reason that survives much scrutiny.
