TELUS Sovereign AI Factory (Rimouski)
Also known as Sovereign AI Factory
Operated by TELUS at TELUS Rimouski Data Centre .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
TELUS's first Sovereign AI Factory, opened 24 September 2025 in a Tier III, LEED Gold data center in Rimouski, Quebec, and first announced at NVIDIA GTC in March 2025. Built on HPE ProLiant Compute XD infrastructure with NVIDIA H200 GPUs (141GB HBM3e) over NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand, run on renewable hydroelectric power. Debuted at rank 78 on the November 2025 TOP500 list at 22.74 PFlop/s Rmax and 27.44068 PFlop/s Rpeak across 70,560 cores (HPL-measured), which TELUS and NVIDIA describe as Canada's fastest publicly benchmarked supercomputer and the only telecom-operated system on the list; it fell to rank 95 on the June 2026 list as other systems were added. Exact GPU count and CPU model are not disclosed by TELUS. Capacity sold out shortly after opening, prompting TELUS's planned expansion to Kamloops and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
