TELUS BC Sovereign AI Cluster
Also known as TELUS Sovereign AI Factory cluster (Kamloops and Vancouver)
Operated by TELUS at TELUS Kamloops Data Centre .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.
What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.
| Role | Part | Supplier at build | Quantity | Confidence | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Integrator | - TELUS builds and operates the three-site British Columbia cluster | TELUS | - | Reported | telus.com |
| Accelerator | - NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell systems, over 60,000 GPUs at full scale by 2032 | NVIDIA | - | Reported | telus.com |

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Accelerators | 60,000 accelerators | 2032-12 | Design target | 'Over 60,000' NVIDIA GPUs at full scale by 2032 across Kamloops and Vancouver sites. Plan; as_of is the target year. | telus.comvantechjournal.com |
| Facility power | 150 MW | 2032 | Design target | Three-facility BC cluster: 85 MW initial BC Hydro allocation scaling to 150 MW by 2032 (May 2026 release). Value is the 2032 target. | telus.comvantechjournal.com |
The read
TELUS's three-site sovereign AI factory cluster in British Columbia, announced on 11 May 2026 under the federal Enabling Large-Scale Sovereign AI Data Centres initiative: an expansion of the existing Kamloops data centre (online later in 2026), a facility at 111 East 5th Avenue in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver (late 2026, scaling through 2028) and 150 West Georgia in downtown Vancouver (2029). TELUS says the cluster will scale to over 60,000 GPUs and 150 MW by 2032, starting from 85 MW secured from BC Hydro, using NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell systems. Vantech Journal reports no federal funding has yet been committed. The system's site is the Kamloops expansion, the first to come online; the Vancouver sites are not separate rows. Successor to the operational Rimouski TELUS Sovereign AI Factory.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
