Also known as Alemcloud, Alem.AI

Operated by Ministry of Digital Development (Kazakhstan) at Alemcloud National Supercomputing Center .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Kazakhstan's first national supercomputing cluster, unveiled at a newly built Tier III data center in Astana (branded the Alemcloud National Supercomputing Center) on 10 July 2025 in a ceremony attended by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Built around NVIDIA H200 GPUs, the Astana Times and Caspian Post both independently report a stated peak of up to two exaflops using FP8 precision, a figure that is not directly comparable to the double-precision Rmax/Rpeak figures recorded elsewhere in this dataset, so it is recorded here as vendor-stated peak rather than measured performance. The Astana Times first reported the system's arrival on 19 May 2025 during a visit by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; MiddleEastAINews and el.kz both name Presight AI, the Abu Dhabi-listed AI company majority owned by G42, as Kazakhstan's partner in deploying it, working alongside the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, which operates the facility. El.kz reports the cluster entered the global Top 100 list at position 86, though this dataset finds no corresponding TOP500 submission and records ranked as 0 accordingly. No source found gives an exact GPU count, server count, core count or power draw, so those fields are left blank rather than guessed.

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
