Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4

18-core Broadwell-EP host CPU, the dual-socket standard across Pratyush's compute nodes.

Why this part

Launched in the first quarter of 2016 as the 18-core flagship of Intel's Broadwell-EP generation. It is the CPU host across all of Pratyush's dual-socket nodes at IITM Pune, paired with Cray's Aries dragonfly fabric. Intel's own product page and TOP500's spec string agree on the exact model, core count and clock, which is why the tier is verified.

“Units recorded” sums only the edges where a public source states a quantity. It is a floor, not a total, and should never be read as installed base.
