Researched with AI assistance, checked by scripts. These rows were researched by AI agents reading public operator, laboratory and vendor sources, appended by scripts and checked by automated validation; no subject-matter expert has reviewed them (how this site is made). A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1350 of 1540 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 64 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

A container-type data center on the grounds of SAKURA internet's Ishikari Data Center that began operating on 11 June 2025 (construction finished in May 2025) and holds approximately 1,000 NVIDIA H200 GPUs, sold as the H200 plan of the Koukaryoku PHY bare-metal GPU cloud. Two containers carry 40 racks (20 each) on about 3.5 MVA of power supply; SAKURA quotes MVA rather than MW of IT load, so no capacity claim is recorded. Each H200 server has eight H200 SXM 141 GB GPUs, two Xeon Platinum 8580 CPUs, 1.5 TB of memory and 8 x 400 Gbps of local interconnect. Direct liquid cooling lets a rack take up to five GPU servers instead of two, and the container build took about a year and a half from planning against about three years and three months for Ishikari Building 3. It is separate from SAKURAONE (sakuraone), the H100 HPC cluster on the TOP500 list. NVIDIA's 2024 Japan cloud release separately says SAKURA plans to grow Koukaryoku from 2,000 to nearly 4,000 Hopper GPUs plus HGX B200, about 10,800 GPUs in all, with no per-site split, so none of that is attributed here. The 1,000 figure is 'approximately' in SAKURA's own release and the per-server page gives no fleet size.
