Also known as TotalEnergies Pangea 5
Operated by TotalEnergies at TotalEnergies CSTJF (Pau) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
TotalEnergies' next Pangea supercomputer, contracted with Dell Technologies and NVIDIA and announced on 6 May 2026 for the Jean Feger Scientific and Technical Center (CSTJF) in Pau, the same site as Pangea III and Pangea 4. TotalEnergies' press release states first commissioning in 2027, a roughly sixfold increase in computing power, about 40 percent lower energy use at equal performance, a fivefold cut in cooling energy, heat recovery for the CSTJF buildings and an investment above 100 million euros; it names NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs and an InfiniBand fabric for seismic imaging, AI R&D and digital modelling. DDN's customer page, the only source for the headline figure, gives about 75 petaflops expected and DDN EXAScaler hybrid flash and HDD storage; because that figure is a vendor expectation for an unbuilt system it is recorded as vendor_peak and the tier stays reported. No GPU model or count has been published.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
