Kebnekaise
Also known as HPC2N Kebnekaise
Operated by HPC2N at HPC2N Machine Room (Umea) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.
What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read
HPC2N's long-running national cluster at Umea University, delivered by Lenovo and installed in summer 2016 and opened for general use on 7 November 2016. It has been extended in steps: 36 Knights Landing nodes in 2017 (later decommissioned), 52 Skylake and 10 V100 nodes in 2018, and AMD Zen3 and Zen4 CPU nodes and further GPU nodes in 2023 to 2024. The hardware page now lists 48 Skylake nodes (Xeon Gold 6132), 8 Zen4 nodes (EPYC 9754), 8 large-memory nodes, and GPU nodes with V100, A100, L40s, H100, A40, A6000 and MI100 accelerators on InfiniBand EDR and HDR200. The page gives peak figures per partition only (for example 87 TFlop/s for the Skylake nodes), so no whole-system FLOPS or core total is recorded. Operator page only, so the tier is reported.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
