River Bend (Fluidstack)

Also known as Hut 8 River Bend for Anthropic

Operated by Fluidstack at Hut 8 River Bend Campus .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Hut 8's River Bend campus in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, leased to Fluidstack under a 15-year, 7.0 billion dollar lease for 245 MW of critical IT capacity with a Google financial backstop, as the first phase of a wider Hut 8, Fluidstack and Anthropic partnership. Hut 8 states 330 MW of utility capacity is under construction at the site and that Fluidstack holds a right of first offer on up to 1,000 MW of expansion subject to power. Hut 8's Q2 2026 results (4 August 2026) report vertical construction commenced, the campus substation under construction and initial long-lead equipment received, with the first data hall targeted for Q2 2027. Fluidstack designs, deploys and operates the compute for Anthropic. No page names the accelerator type or count, so no accelerator edge is recorded. Both sources are Hut 8's own, so the tier is reported. It has never submitted an HPL result.

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
