NEXTDC S7 Sydney AI Campus

Also known as NEXTDC OpenAI Sydney AI campus; S7 Eastern Creek

Operated by NEXTDC at NEXTDC S7 Site (Eastern Creek) .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

NEXTDC's planned S7 hyperscale data center at Eastern Creek in Western Sydney, listed at 550 MW+ of IT capacity and in planning. On 5 December 2025 NEXTDC announced an MoU with OpenAI to develop a hyperscale AI campus and large-scale GPU supercluster there under OpenAI for Australia, with closed-loop high-density liquid cooling and a first phase expected in the second half of 2027 subject to approvals. iTnews reports OpenAI would host its GPU supercluster there. No accelerator model or count is published, the MoU is not a binding build commitment, and the 550 MW is a design capacity.
