PORTS-Pike Technology Campus
Also known as Portsmouth Site AI data center; Piketon Ohio
Operated by SB Energy at Portsmouth Site (Piketon) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1263 of 1345 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 56 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.
| Role | Part | Supplier at build | Quantity | Confidence | Source |

| Facility power | 10,000 MW | 2026-08-17 | Design target | Reported as 8 GW for compute plus 2 GW for cooling and power conversion; REBusiness reports a minimum 10 GW power capacity commitment by SB Energy and SoftBank. | allwork.spacerebusinessonline.com |
| IT power | 8,000 MW | 2026-08-18 | Design target | OpenAI lease: about 8 GW-IT, made of 4.25 GW of initial AI factory capacity and 3.75 GW of optional expansion. | rebusinessonline.com |
The read
An AI data center redevelopment of the decommissioned Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant near Piketon in Pike County, Ohio, on land leased from the US Department of Energy and announced as a public-private project with SB Energy on 7 April 2026. REBusiness reports that OpenAI signed a 20-year lease on 18 August 2026 for about 8 GW-IT (4.25 GW of AI factory capacity initially and 3.75 GW of optional expansion), that SB Energy will build, own and operate the campus, that NVIDIA is investing 1.5 billion dollars and supplying the DSX AI factory platform, that the first 800 MW arrives in 2028 and that the build-out runs through 2032. A second outlet adds 2 GW for cooling and power conversion for a 10 GW total. The DOE page confirms the SB Energy partnership but gives no capacity. Nothing is built, so it stays planned.
