Quantum Inspire Tuna-9

Quantum Inspire Tuna-9 is a superconducting circuits quantum computer operated by QuTech in Netherlands. It has 9 physical qubits. It ranks 61 of 74 superconducting machines in this table by physical qubit count. 7 sourced specs are in the spec sheet. No benchmark figures are recorded for it yet.

Also known as Tuna-9

Second Tuna processor on the Quantum Inspire cloud, available since December 2025 per the Quantum Inspire backends page. It uses a sapphire substrate rather than the silicon of Tuna-5 (quantum-inspire-tuna-5), three readout feedlines, and a Qblox Cluster at room temperature for control and readout. The page lists no fidelity, coherence or gate-time data and refers users to the DiCarlo Lab for them. The same open-architecture family later added Tuna-17 (quantum-inspire-tuna-17).
