Sun Magnum InfiniBand DDR Switch
Sun Datacenter Switch 3456 (Magnum), a 3,456-port full-bisection InfiniBand DDR switch built for the Constellation line.
Why this part
Sun built its own top-of-line InfiniBand switch rather than buying one from Voltaire or Cisco, betting the whole Constellation product line on a single custom ASIC generation; Ranger was its flagship deployment. Oracle's 2010 acquisition of Sun ended the Constellation line, so this part has no successor in Oracle's own catalogue.

“Units recorded” sums only the edges where a public source states a quantity. It is a floor, not a total, and should never be read as installed base.
