Yancheng AI Compute Platform

Also known as National New-Generation AI Public Computing Open Innovation Platform (Yancheng)

Operated by Yancheng Supercomputing Center .

Researched with AI assistance, checked by scripts. These rows were researched by AI agents reading public operator, laboratory and vendor sources, appended by scripts and checked by automated validation; no subject-matter expert has reviewed them (how this site is made). A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1350 of 1540 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 64 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

AI compute platform of the Yancheng Supercomputing Center in Jiangsu, in operation since July 2022 on Phase I clusters that Taichu Yuanqi built from its own AI chips and accelerator cards in high-density liquid-cooled racks, using a domestic heterogeneous many-core architecture. It was named to the national list of 25 preparatory platforms in July 2023 and formally unveiled as a National New-Generation AI Public Computing Open Innovation Platform on 18 December 2025, with a Phase II 'super-intelligence fusion' system planned and Huawei signing a cooperation agreement for it. Chinese press reports 100% rack occupancy, a 73.8% overall rental rate and over 200 university and enterprise customers, all supplied by the Taichu side. No chip model, card count, FLOPS or power figure is given; the 1,200 PFlop/s figure in the coverage describes Taichu's wider demand, not this site, so no FLOPS is recorded. Both articles (Science and Technology Daily and a Jiangsu local paper) report the same December 2025 unveiling, hence reported.
