Wonder Valley AI Campus

Also known as Wonder Valley Data Centre Park; O'Leary Wonder Valley

Operated by O'Leary Ventures at Wonder Valley Site (Greenview AB) .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Wonder Valley, a planned gas-powered AI data centre park in the Municipal District of Greenview near Grande Prairie, Alberta, led by Kevin O'Leary's O'Leary Ventures and announced on 10 December 2024. Site Selection reports a first phase of 1.4 GW at about 12 billion dollars and a 7.5 GW full build-out at about 70 billion dollars on roughly 7,000 acres, with groundbreaking in 2027 and operations from mid-2028; Gensler's project page describes 50+ hyperscale data centres on the same 7.5 GW basis. A later Energy Mix report says the plan has since grown to 9 GW and records April 2026 regulatory events (exemption from an environmental impact assessment and a dismissed water-licence challenge). No tenant, accelerator vendor or count is named. The tier is reported. It has never submitted an HPL result.

Source check

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
