Scala AI City
Also known as Scala AI City Eldorado do Sul; Scala AI City Rio Grande do Sul
Operated by Scala Data Centers at Eldorado do Sul Site (Scala) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.
| Role | Part | Supplier at build | Quantity | Confidence | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Integrator | - Scala Data Centers builds the Scala AI City campus, 54 MW initial IT capacity with liquid cooling for racks above 150 kW | Scala Data Centers | - | Reported | scaladatacenters.com |
| Cooling | - Liquid cooling system, PUE not exceeding 1.2 and zero water use effectiveness design target | Scala Data Centers | - | Reported | scaladatacenters.com |

The read
Scala Data Centers' planned AI data center city in Eldorado do Sul, about 32 km from Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on roughly 7 million square meters of land. A letter of intent with the state government was signed on 11 September 2024 for an initial 500 million dollar phase delivering 54 MW of IT capacity, with expansion potential to 4.75 GW. The design targets AI training racks above 150 kW with liquid cooling, a PUE not exceeding 1.2 and zero water use effectiveness, and runs on 100 percent renewable power. A municipal law of 18 December 2024 enabled the site. The status date is that law; no later construction-status page was fetched, and neither source names a GPU vendor or count. The tier is reported. It has never submitted an HPL result.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
