Poolside Project Horizon

Also known as Horizon AI campus (West Texas)

Operated by Poolside .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

Poolside's planned 2 GW behind-the-meter AI campus on 568 acres in West Texas next to a Permian Basin natural gas hub, announced 15 October 2025 and to be developed in eight 250 MW phases with onsite aero-derivative turbines, battery storage and grid interconnect. CoreWeave is anchor tenant for the first 250 MW phase under a 15-year lease, with 500 MW reserved for expansion. Separately, CoreWeave is to supply a cluster of more than 40,000 NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 GPUs from December 2025 for Poolside's research and model training; Poolside's post, as quoted by APPA, describes that cluster as the near-term supply and the campus tenancy as the longer-term arrangement, so it is treated as rented cloud capacity and not counted as Horizon hardware. No county or city is stated on the fetched pages, so no site row is created. The sources relay Poolside's announcement, so the tier is reported.

We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
