Also known as Paducah American Energy Hub

Operated by Brookfield at DOE Paducah Site .

Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of

One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.

The read

AI and high-performance computing campus on the former uranium enrichment site at the US Department of Energy's Paducah Site in Kentucky, announced on 29 July 2026. Brookfield was selected to lease the land and develop and operate the data center; NextEra Energy to build and own up to 2 GW of gas generation and up to 2.6 GW of battery storage; Big Rivers, Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative and Paducah Power System are utility partners. The Paducah Power System page cites over 1.2 GW of compute capacity and up to 1.8 GW of utility capacity and a 100 billion dollar private investment; completion is given as 2032 there and 2031 by the American Nuclear Society. Definitive agreements and Kentucky regulatory approvals are still pending and no construction start has been announced. No hardware has been named.
