Also known as Centro Nacional de Supercomputacion
Operated by Universidad de la Republica at ANTEL Data Center, Canelones .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.
| Role | Part | Supplier at build | Quantity | Confidence | Source |

The read
Uruguay's national supercomputing centre, a joint initiative of Universidad de la Republica's Facultad de Ingenieria, state telco ANTEL and state utility UTE, funded through ANII's major scientific equipment programme and administered by Fundacion Julio Ricaldoni. It launched in March 2018, hosted at ANTEL's data center at the Parque Tecnologico in Canelones, at a reported 200 TFlop/s peak per independent 2017 coverage in El Observador; the university's own engineering-faculty page, describing the centre's current configuration, states 1,312 CPU cores and 100,352 GPU cores for a combined peak of 720 TFlop/s, implying substantial hardware growth since the 2018 launch that this dataset cannot date precisely (recorded here as 101,664 total cores and 0.72 PFlop/s peak). The operator, funding partners, launch date and Canelones location are independently confirmed between the two sources, but the specific current core counts and 720 TFlop/s figure come from the university alone, so the tier is reported. No HPL run is published and it has never appeared on TOP500, so rmax is left blank and the peak figure is vendor_peak; no specific CPU or GPU model could be confirmed from a directly fetched source, so no hardware components are recorded for it.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
