BUZZ AI Cloud (Paraguay)
Also known as BUZZ Cloud Asuncion
Operated by HIVE Digital Technologies at HIVE BUZZ Data Center (Asuncion) .
Phase 1 seed dataset, compiled by hand. These rows were built from public operator, laboratory and vendor sources. A mechanical second-reader pass has since fetched every cited source: 1092 of 1153 systems have a readable citation that names them, and 40 are genuinely weakly sourced. Every claim carries its source and a confidence tier. Treat anything below verified as a lead, not a citation.

Figures are as last publicly reported for the configuration described below, not a live measurement. Where a system was upgraded in place, the post-upgrade configuration is shown and the earlier one appears in the timeline.
What this machine is made of
One row per supplier relationship. “Supplier at build” is the company that shipped the part at the time; where that company has since been acquired, the parent it rolls up to today is shown beside it. That distinction is what makes ticker-level aggregation possible across a thirty-year dataset.
| Role | Part | Supplier at build | Quantity | Confidence | Source |

The read
HIVE Digital Technologies' first operational AI GPU cluster in Paraguay, the BUZZ AI Cloud platform hosted inside a Tier III data center operated by Paraguay's largest telecom provider in Asuncion. Announced 13 January 2026 as a joint venture with that telecom operator, drawing on hydroelectric power; went live with GPU compute nodes on 18 March 2026, when it began serving large-language-model pretraining research for a Columbia University team working remotely from New York. HIVE's own account and the independent outlet Crypto Briefing both directly confirm the same specific facts: NVIDIA A40 GPUs, the Asuncion location and BUZZ AI Cloud name, and the Columbia University partnership, in which A40 performance matched H100 systems after code optimization on 1.4B-parameter models. Exact GPU node count, cores and FLOPS are not disclosed by either source, so those fields are left blank and the tier stays reported. HIVE's wider Paraguay build-out includes a 100 MW substation (energization targeted September 2026) and a dedicated Tier III facility targeted for H2 2027; those are future phases, not part of this row.

Source check
We fetched this system's own citations and recorded whether each page actually mentions it. This is a corroboration signal, not a fact check, and it is published so you can see how well the sourcing holds up rather than take it on trust.
