Chinese-designed fat-tree fabric with a custom NIC and switch ASIC. Domestic at a layer most observers assumed was import-dependent.
Why this part
The successor to Arch, and the component that carried Tianhe-2 through the 2015 export controls unchanged. When the United States blocked the Xeon Phi upgrade, the accelerators had to be replaced with domestic Matrix-2000 parts, but the fabric did not, because it had never been bought from anyone. A domestic network is what let a domestic accelerator be substituted in without redesigning the machine.
