Loongson 3C6000
Up to 64 LA664 cores across four chiplets on LoongArch, a domestically defined ISA rather than a licensed one.
Why this part
LoongArch is a domestically defined instruction set, not a licensed one, which is the distinction that separates Loongson from Hygon, Phytium and Kunpeng. Those three depend on an x86 licence or an Arm licence that a policy decision could withdraw; this does not. The price is paid in software: a new ISA has no ecosystem, and every compiler, kernel and library has to be ported. Four chiplets linked over Loongson's own coherent fabric reach 64 cores at 12nm, well behind the leading edge, which is the other half of the same tradeoff.
