LingKun LX2

304-core Armv9.2 processor with SVE2 vector units and SME matrix-math units and on-package HBM, the sole compute part in LineShine.

Why this part

LineShine's entire compute story is one part. There is no accelerator role anywhere in the machine: LX2 supplies its own matrix-multiply units (SME) rather than borrowing them from a GPU, the same subtraction Fujitsu's A64FX made for Fugaku, arrived at independently and on a newer instruction-set generation. We could not confirm which organisation designed the chip beyond TOP500's own reporting, so no company_id is recorded here rather than guessed.

“Units recorded” sums only the edges where a public source states a quantity. It is a floor, not a total, and should never be read as installed base.
