DDR5 RDIMM

Host memory for GPU nodes; increasingly the cheap tier next to HBM.

Why this part

The cheap tier next to HBM rather than the fast one, and its role in a modern accelerated node is capacity rather than bandwidth: HBM handles the arithmetic-adjacent working set, and DDR5 host memory holds everything that does not need to sit next to the compute die. Grace's LPDDR5X and Turin's twelve-channel DDR5 are both answers to how much of a node's total memory should be this ordinary, ungrudging, expandable tier rather than the expensive stacked kind.

Systems using this part

No systems in the current dataset record this part. It is carried in the taxonomy so the graph is complete, and so edges can attach to it as coverage grows.
