Chilled-water indirect liquid cooling
Liquid cooling that still depends on mechanical chillers, the detail that separates it from warm-water DLC.
Why this part
Liquid cooling and chiller-free cooling are not the same thing, and this part exists to keep this dataset from conflating them. Sunway TaihuLight's own site-visit report describes a closed-coupled chilled-water system with 15 water-cooled chillers rated near a 10 ESEER, magnetic levitation compressors included. That is real engineering, and it is still fundamentally different from warm-water direct liquid cooling's entire point, which is rejecting heat without needing a chiller at all. A system can be liquid-cooled and still carry the mechanical cooling plant, and the electricity bill, that warm-water DLC exists specifically to remove.

“Units recorded” sums only the edges where a public source states a quantity. It is a floor, not a total, and should never be read as installed base.
