Anton 2 ASIC
Custom 40nm ASIC that performs an entire molecular dynamics compute node: a quarter of the die is dedicated pairwise-interaction pipelines, the rest 66 general-purpose programmable cores.
Why this part
Each 512-node Anton 2 machine uses one of these per node for both general processing and specialized pairwise-interaction math, delivering roughly an order of magnitude more molecular dynamics throughput than Anton 1 at the same node count.
